DOSSIER

I grew up in a small South Carolina town spending my summers working in a peach packing house.  I also worked as a weekend jail keeper and cut grass for the city.  It was in this latter capacity that my brother and I invented and perfected the sport of Cemetery Frisbee.

I married my high school sweetheart and am a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina (the first and REAL “USC”) (this is where the ”Garnet” in “Garnet Spy” comes from).  After college, we moved to Maryland when I went to work for the Department of Defense, retiring in July, 2009 after 35 years.  We have two sons and, at this writing, two grandsons and granddaughter.  Both sons, my wife and one of our daughters-in-law graduated from the REAL USC.
