The War With Women (As Ammunition)
Both sides of the American political battleground have accused the other of waging a “war on women.” Democrats claim Republicans want to deny women proper and necessary health care and Republicans accuse Democrats of vilifying and demeaning women who don’t agree with the liberal agenda. But, when examining the “progressive” camp more closely, it seems they aren’t attacking women so much as they are attacking with women.

Not Nikki
Now that the Republican Party has nothing to keep it occupied , the latest buzz is about Mitt Romney’s running mate. I’m not sure where to put this on the Scale Of Excitement. Maybe somewhere between Swamp People and Celebrity Apprentice Boardroom Rants.

The Right Man? How ’bout Neither?
As the Republican presidential primary heats up, so does discussion about potential candidates for the other half of the ticket. The conversation is mostly for entertainment as it’s far too early to get into the logistics of picking a running mate, especially since there isn’t yet a clear winner for the top slot. So, maybe we should talk about something a little different.

After Party?
The Republican primary season has yielded no clear winners, frontrunners or favorites. The four remaining candidates are carving up voters and delegates and the prospect of going into the convention without a nominee is growing. With six months to go, it’s not yet possible to predict who will represent the GOP against Barack Obama in November, but it’s likely the selection process will get very dramatic.

Mistakes of the Father
Political campaigns are as delicate as they are brutal. No matter how hard a candidate pushes and pulls, (s)he is vulnerable to disaster by their own words. Whether innocently misspoken or candidly honest, a turn of the phrase can turn a run for office into a run for the exits.

A Powerful Force
There is a powerful force in American politics and, particularly, the Repyblican Party. It’s not an organized group, a registered union or a structured political entity, but it’s a demographic that determines the outcome of every election.

Palin: Cannibals in GOP Establishment Employ Tactics of the Left
We have witnessed something very disturbing this week. The Republican establishment which fought Ronald Reagan in the 1970s and which continues to fight the grassroots Tea Party movement today has adopted the tactics of the left in using the media and the politics of personal destruction to attack an opponent.

Running the GOP Numbers
The race for the Republican nomination for President is still in the embryonic stages, and, as is always the case with politics, things can change overnight. Still, there are some very interesting (telling?) numbers to consider even this early in the process.

Gingrich Off Leash
In many respects, Newt Gingrich is the ideal choice to the Republican nominee for President and, ultimately, President of the United States. But, as is far too often the case, he is his candidacy’s greatest challenge.
