Iran: Two Men, Two Lessons

Presidents Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Barack Obama may each learn a lesson from one another this week.

With reports that the Iranian opposition is planning nation-wide protests in ten days and Ahmadinejad responding by saying he “will deliver a harsh blow to ‘global arrogance’” on the same day, internal tensions haven’t been this high since the Islamic Revolution in 1979.  But this time, it’s more than Iran that could suffer the (literal) fallout.

Ahmadinejad’s unstable bluster along with claims of nuclear weapons capability, historic and recurring fears of multi-national destruction in the Middle East are higher than ever.  There is the potential for a Cuban-Missile-Crisis like confrontation between the United States and the Castro of Persia.

In response, Obama has deployed anti-missile systems and naval forces to the region.  Well, actually, it’s based on events that have been building for months, including intelligence on the accuracy of Ahmadinejad’s claims and intentions.  This kind of response isn’t made because some egomaniacal goober runs his mouth off.

Barack Obama has learned (or so it seems) that talking to the bad guys, even if you’re The Great Orator, doesn’t work.  Sometimes the most effective means of communications is a boot in the ass. Obama may like this whole being-a-man thing.  How are Pelosi and Reid gonna live with THAT?  How’s GLENN BECK gonna live with that?

Ahmadinejad is about to learn that even weak and distracted narcissistic presidents like Barack Obama don’t like other presidents stealing the spotlight.  He pushed it.  He pushed it too hard for just about everyone and if he doesn’t back off, he’s gonna get change WE can believe in.

In all likelihood, the show of force – political internally and military from the U.S. – will make Ahmadinejad back down. The Iranian opposition will protest, there will be some violent state police reaction and, as long as the violence doesn’t spill across the border, things will die down to just “tense” and not “threatening.”

But, if it doesn’t and Iran walks Ahmadinejad’s machismo walk, well – lesson learned.

  2. Unfortunately, This is the very same Obama that has canceled NASA’s Constellation Program (how are we to protect and replace all those intelligence and communication satellites) and the same Obama who has ditched the mighty F-22 program (which gave us pure superiority in the air).

The Russians, the Chinese, and the Iranians, see this Obama guy in his true self: 1) a stupid man who can not or won’t pull the trigger if he really has too, OR 2) an idiot who will end up having to get into a major fight with several nations at the same time, OR 3) a clueless coward who won’t fight anything other that Afghans who hide in caves.

Rather, I think Obama is No 4) a Chamberlain who does not understand power and would rather invite everyone over for a chicken and beer photo shoot just to show the public He is discussing the situation.

  3. I just don’t understand Obamas schizophrenic mindset! At first he is the quintessential peacenik with the proverbial “let’s all give peace a chance” and now he’s a roaring war-monger! Geeshh!

At any rate, Ahmadinejads not going to do the Barack Obama shuffle and dance. He’s on a mission to bring back his Mahdi and nothing will deter him….not even the destruction of his own country. That is evidence by the fact of the backlash against his own people who protest his governance. At some point, according to the Bible, Iran will hook up with Russia and come after Israel. Nothing will stop it…not even Obama’s muscle flexing designed to prove he is “a real man”. Not only that, it will involve a nuclear exchange.

This bears some serious watching…..for entertainments sake if nothing else. Obamas macho move looks exactly like what it is…..another ploy.
