UPDATE: Obama predicts Colt win.

My Super Bowl prediction as indicated by the headline of this post has nothing to do with season stats, Peyton Manning, defensive strategies, strengths or weaknesses of offensive or defensive lines, speed or the respective brilliance of coaches tactics.

Nope.  To take a page from this administration – it’s ALL about Barack Obama.  Yeah, President Barack Obama is the reason the New Orleans Saints will lose.

What does it matter WHO is in the White House, you say?

Well, it’s not one of those “When a Democrat is in his first year in the White House, the Super Bowl usually goes to the AFC” sort of statistic.  No, this one is particularly and personally because of Barack Obama. You see, Obama has said he is rooting for the Saints, essentially ending the team’s long quest for a championship.

See, since Obama has been president he

• Campaigned for the re-election of New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine
  

• Campaigned for Democrat Creigh Deeds for Governor of Virginia

• Campaigned for Martha Coakley for the U.S. Senate seat once held by Teddy Kennedy

• Called the Number One-ranked University of Kentucky basketball team a few hours before they lost to the University of South Carolina.

• Championed Chicago’s hosting of the Olympics

It is also rumored that Obama

• Lobbied for Paula Abdul to remain on American Idol and for Conan O’Brian to stay on The Late Show.

• Bought stock in Amazon the week before Apple revealed the iPad, and

• Predicted Keith Olbermann’s ratings would “dominate cable news”

So, with Barack Obama on their side, how can the “Aints” win?
