State Senator Larry Grooms, erstwhile candidate for Governor will not run for the 1st Congressional seat being vacated by Henry Brown. However, sources advise that State Rep. Tim Scott is 85% in the congressional race.
Scott will immediately change the landscape in that race. With strong conservative credentials, he will garner heavy-duty GOP endorsements and support (both state and national) and a whole lot of money.
This race is chock full of candidates. Aren’t Carroll Campbell and Strom’s sons also in this race? One of them needs to drop out and primary Bob Inglis.
Tim would make a great Representative and could do a great deal to move S.C. forward. Much more so in Congress than as the Lite Guv. RUN TIM, RUN!!!
