Clemson athletic supporters certainly have the advantage in bragging about the rivalry between the Tigers and South Carolina. So when the Gamecocks thoroughly beat the mythical #18 team in the country Saturday, the usual rejoinder of “Well, once every 7 years isn’t so bad” was expected.
But, herein the difference between Carolina and Clemson fans. Whereas those who prefer the effeminate orange will talk about the past, the Garnet and Black Nation will continue to look to the future.
So, “wait til next year.”

Gamecock football, like soccer, will always be the sport of the future.
And, at least for now, the future is … well… NOW.
The dignified Garnet and Black need not respond to the whimpers of beaten kitty cats. The sad thing about Clemson fans is that their lack of humility and grace in the face of a hideous loss. They resort to slinging insults and other objectionable behavior. The Gamecock Nation maintains civility in the face of adversity. The Tiggers could learn a few things from the folks in Columbia.
