The Toxic President
The recent “pre-off year” elections have demonstrated a disturbing fact for Democrats… the man in whom the party put it’s trust, it’s “hope” and it’s future has proven to be toxic.
Exit polls showed independents, who made up nearly one-third of voters in both Virginia and New Jersey, went for the Republicans by a margin of nearly 2-to-1. [Washington Times]
President Obama made 4 or 5 trips to New Jersey to campaign for Democrat incumbent Governor John Corzine and made radio and television spots for him. Corzine lost to GOP challenger Chris Christie. Obama won New Jersey 55-39 in 2008. Wha’ happened?
Obama happened. When campaigning for President, Obama was the man behind the curtain. Someone we really didn’t know who pulled levers to project an entirely contrived image. In the year since the election, Barack Obama has been exposed as someone who not only does not have the executive credentials to be President of the United States, he doesn’t have the intellectual capacity, the attention span or the American heart to be president.
In addition to Obama, Nancy Pelosi has become a national laughing stock (mainly because Joe Biden hasn’t spoken very much lately) and Harry Reid is viewed as a lame-dinosaur who is in big election trouble back home.
Other Democrats like Chris Dodd, Arlen Spector, Barbara Boxer, John Murtha and more are going to face very difficult races. Yet none of them can afford to have the President of the United States, the Commander in Chief and the titular head of their party campaign for them.
And don’t forget how abysmally many members of Congress “performed” during town hall meetings this past summer, the ruling party’s lies about the economy, the attempt to hijack health care, unemployment, bailouts and general Democratic Party snobbery towards the electorate.
The first rule of politics (should be service to the people, but really) is survival. What Democrat in a tight race – House, Senate or Governor’s Mansion – is going to want Barack Obama campaigning for him/her?

Yea – I’ll even add to that.
I’ve been saying it since April of 2008: whether he or the many Americans who deny it wants to know it or not, this man is a socialist. After stating in his campaign that he wants to change this country, carrying on about “sitting pretty” and wanting “to share the wealth” around, he has launched his plans upon America and is doing a hell of a job at it.
In the span of 5 short years he has risen from obscurity to acquire fame and adulation and to become the president of the most powerful nation in the world.
When you look at his immaturity, inexperience, radical ideas about what this country needs, his origins, background, influences, questionable associations past and present, the backgrounds of the plethora of czars he has surrounded himself with, you have to wonder how a mere community organizer with zilch for foreign affairs experience can accomplish such a meteoric rise to power as he has.
You have to wonder how this formula felt so right for 53% of Americans who voted for a man representing values so foreign to those of this country. You have to wonder what they were thinking then and you have to wonder what they’re thinking now.
We have gone to war, fought and sacrificed many lives to prevent our country from falling under such influences, yet, there he is.
