The State newspaper is reporting that Education Superintendent Jim Rex will run for governor next year.

OK… so this is important… DON’T SAY ANYTHING.  Let him run.

See, Rex is a Democrat who intends to run for governor in the reddest of states.  He has been a dismal failure as Superintendent of Education and his record won’t help him in the gubernatorial race.  Being a Dem is bad enough, but running on a record as head of South Carolina’s schools is about as enhancing as Barney Frank talking man love at a Focus on the Family gathering.

If Rex runs for governor, that means he won’t be running for re-election as Pimp Daddy to SCEA.  That means South Carolina’s education establishment will get someone new – hopefully, THIS someone.

SO shhhhh… be vewy, vewy quiet….
