A Shiny Object

It’s over and I missed it BAD. So be it.
I’m not happy about it. This, to me, is very much like the first OJ Simpson verdict. Despite all the evidence, the verdict defies logic.
Barack Obama, the clear winner and the next President of the United States, does not represent the people, the soul and the spirit of America. This will sound like sour grapes, but I believe the American voting public was distracted by shiny objects. Style without substance.
There are a couple of bright spots, though. I’ve written that the extremes of Barack Obama could well reignite Conservatives. The introduction of Sarah Palin to the national audience was a good thing for moving the Conservative movement to a younger leadership. Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana is another.
But there is another reason to keep the razor blade from our wrists. Obama lied throughout his two year campaign for the White House in order to GET to the White House. I expect he’ll continue that trend during his Administration and go back on those promises he made to the Left.
Barack Obama’s election has accomplished the goal of the Democratic Party. To the Party, he’s no more than a public mannequin. A political facade, a puppet.
A shiny object.
