Fact: In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court of the United States upheld the Constitutional right of citizens in the District of Columbia to own handguns.

Opinion: 5-4? What’s so difficult to understand” “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” It matters not that there is the reference to “a well regulated militia,” the amendment says this right SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. Besides, the REASON for the militia reference was as a protection from the gorvernment’s potential to take away citizen rights. Not since Lincoln suspended habeas corpus and never so systematically have Americans fears been so warranted as now. Should Barack Obama and the Stalinists he represents take control of the government, then that fragile 5-4 majority will disappear and other rights will disappear with it.
