The Demagogue Party
May 19th, 2008 § 2 Comments
The hypocritical bent of Democrats – specifically liberals – has been no more evident than in this protracted election season.
Long the target of leftist screeds portraying them as racists, anti-women, pro-big business, anti-working man, etc., conservatives and, more importantly, the great mass of American citizenry, find themselves spectators in the all-too-revealing war between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. And in this slugfest, we all get to see what the left is really made of – lies and the opportunism that feeds those lies.
The Clintons have been called racists for remarks Bill made about Obama in South Carolina. Women who support Obama are called traitors for abandoning the feminist ideal since they do not support the female candidate.
How can one be a true liberal, a loyal Democrat and not support the Afro-American? But then, how can you be a blue-stater and oppose the woman?
Well, you’re either a bigot or an anti-feminist. Take your pick. Heaven knows you can’t support Hillary Clinton unless you hate black people. And you’re certainly a neanderthal if you don’t vote for the woman.
At least, that’s what the factions of the Democratic Party would have you believe. You see, it’s the Democrats God- given (oops, sorry) – natural right to label you as something vile should you not agree with whatever snake oil politics they’re trying to sell.
The point isn’t simply supporting a black or a woman, it’s WHICH black and WHICH woman. Otherwise, it would make as much sense to run P Diddy or Britney Spears. Race has been addressed by The Spy here and here. The fact is that neither party has provided valid African-American, Hispanic, Asian, female or other non-white male candidates. Barack Obama is the closest viable black candidate in history. He’s certainly more qualified than dumbass one and dumbass two – both gifts to the American public by the Democratic Party. The closest national ticket woman has been Geraldine Ferraro. We saw how well THAT worked out.
Of course, not all white men that have been national contenders have worked out either. There’s this idiot, this criminal, and this traitor. There have been more – from all political spectra – but the issue here is qualification beyond Y chromosomes, pigmentation and chronology.
The Spy doesn’t particularly care for any of the choices this year – a dissatisfaction that has nothing to do with any of the above. The world is far too complicated and the needs and interests of the United States far too important to waste time choosing our leader on the makeup of anything other than his/her heart and brain.
The Spy has and will continue to criticize Barack Obama, but that doesn’t indicate racism. Nor is The Spy a fan of Hillary Clinton, but nothing in that distaste means gender bias. It’s those two people that are so disgusting.
The Demagogue Party has exposed itself as a racist and slanderous group of political cut-throats. Is anyone REALLY surprised?
