Middle names are tricky things. 

Radio talk show host Bill Cunningham has been slammed for using Barack Hussein Obama’s middle name.   In fact, it was called a “smear!” For whatever reason he did it, it’s stupid to vilify him for doing so. 

A lot of folks have famously been identified with/by their middle names… 

Franklin Delano Roosevelt.  (What’s a “delano?”)

 John Fitzgeral Kennedy.

Lyndon Baines Johnson.

Martin Luther King. 

David Lee Roth.

Lee Harvey Oswald.

Tommy Lee Jones. 

Hillary Rodham Clinton.  OK… this is a cute one.  Remember when she dropped the “Rodham” and then added it back.  In fact, according to the Encyclopedia Britannica, “After Bill was elected governor of Arkansas in 1978, she continued to pursue her career and retained her maiden name (until 1982), bringing considerable criticism from voters who felt that her failure to change her name indicated a lack of commitment to her husband.“

Bill Cunningham didn’t name BHO.  If Obama is ashamed of his middle name, if calling him by his given name is a smear, then there clearly is something nefarious going on, and Cunningham isn’t the nefarious one! 

And John McCain is a coward and a fool for criticizing Cunningham for such a piddly issue.
